Wacom tiene una nueva tableta digitalizadora dentro de su gama Bamboo y la ha llamado Splash. Es un nuevo dispositivo de entrada de datos que se posiciona como una tableta de gama de entrada por precio aunque no por prestaciones, pues quienes quieran iniciarse en el noble arte de la ilustración por ordenador a buen seguro que encontrarán en este nuevo gadget un compañero fiel. La nueva Bamboo Splash The tablet is explicitly aimed at newcomers to illustration, as evidenced by a $79 pricetag. To reach that it sacrifices features found on other Bamboo tablets, such as the multi-touch support on the Capture, or the workspace of the Create. It also lacks support for Wacom's Wireless Accessory Kit. The Splash has a 5.8x3.6-inch workspace, with a 133pps data rate, 2540lpi resolution, and 1,024 pressure levels. Included with the tablet are two beginner illustration programs: ArtRage 3 Studio, and Autodesk's SketchBook Express. Windows users must be running Windows XP SP3 or later; Mac owners must have a computer with an Intel processor and at least OS X 10.5. Each package includes a series of extra pen nibs to cope with wear on the Splash's stylus.
